Quatis
Quatis is a city situated in the south of the State of Rio de Janeiro and offers
visitors ranch-hotels, waterfalls and rural tourism. It is a peaceful place, with
lush nature, highlighting the quatis (coatis), the animals which give the city its
name.
The festivals are exciting and traditional. The Feira da Roça (Country Fair),
which takes place every second and forth Sunday of the month, offers its visitors
typical food made in a hearth, countryside products, arts and crafts and a lot of
forró (traditional Northeastern Brazilian dance).
