Barra Mansa
Important industrial park within the State and the country. The same way as
it has developed and appealed to large companies, Barra Mansa has found a
way to preserve most of its history. The Parque Centenário (Centennial Park)
captures the beauty of Colonial Brazil. It is always comforting to walk around
an environment with innumerous trees, a lake and small animals such as
tamarins and sloths. The old railway station, opened in 1871 by Princesa Isabel
(Isabel, Princess Imperial of Brazil) and Conde D’Eu (Prince Gaston, Count of
Eu), is another historic breakthrough of the city. Enjoy rural tourism and the
many farms of Barra Mansa and don’t forget to taste handmade cachaça.
