Vassouras
The façade of the houses, palaces and monuments of Vassouras keep memories
from a time of opulence. Several rural properties and hotels seek to maintain
traditions by means of ambiance, such as the Chá Imperial (Imperial Tea).
Farms in the region maintain several objects from that time, still preserved. The
Casa da Era (House of the Era), a typical manorial house, was transformed into
a museum. Horseback riding, fishing and beautiful local craftsmanship are also
on the itinerary.
